Film binding now available on FB 3130 round balers
The FB 3130 is the next KUHN baler featuring the patented* TWIN-reel film binding system. This fixed chamber round baler is ideally suited to farmers who produce their own baled silage. They now can benefit from all the advantages of this unique system: lowest film costs, highest forage quality, and easy opening of the bales with minimal feed losses.
TWIN-reel film binding
The key feature of KUHN’s TWIN-reel film binding is the use of two regular stretch film rolls instead of special wide mantle film. Regular stretch film is cheaper and has a much higher pre-stretch ratio (70%) than conventional wide film binding systems. Moreover, the processing time is optimised as the starting and end string are as short as possible. Resulting in a reduction of film binding costs by up to 37%.
Film binding has many benefits
Opening a bale, forage preservation, bale density and waste disposal. There is a lot involved in working with silage bales. Film binding offers many advantages such as:
- Higher silage quality
- Improved bale shape
- Easier handling and opening
- No silage caught between the net, so no feed losses.
- Only one waste material
