The ROWLINER row-crop cultivator

The versatile tool for precision weeding

ROWLINER row-crop cultivators are designed especially for weeding row crops such as maize, sugar beet, and sunflower; they come in 6- and 8-row versions with spacings of 75/80 cm, as well a 12-row model with spacings of 45/50 cm.

The ROWLINER row-crop cultivator is a high-performance mechanical weeder for row crops. With dedicated equipment, it efficiently eliminates weeds to reduce competition with the main crop.

The versatile ROWLINER row-crop cultivator adapts to each stage of crop growth. The different share, deflector, and finger weeder options provide a customisable machine to suit the needs of the user.

Combined with the ROWLINK camera guidance interface, ROWLINER row-crop cultivators can work close up to the crop with precision. Each weeding unit can be equipped, as an option, with an automatic and individual lift feature by Section Control.

Your benefits

A high-performance, hard-wearing machine

Parallelogram: a key feature

The parallelogram concept is one of the keys to the high-performance capacity of the mechanical weeder. The longer the parallelogram, the better the ground contouring on uneven ground. In addition, enables soil penetration of up to 120 kg per weeding unit, even at high speeds and on plots with slake crusts.

Two types of share

Two widths of duckfoot share are available: 160 mm for the 45-50 cm spacings and 180 mm for the 75-80 cm spacings. You can opt for standard shares or carbide for a longer service life. Carbide shares are recommended for high-wear soils, contractors, and large farms.

Under-frame clearance

All ROWLINER models have 70 cm under-frame clearance, which means they can work without damaging the plants, even in well-developed crops, until the stage when the tractor can just about pass through.

Precision

Guidance interface

The ROWLINK guidance interface allows the mechanical weeder to shift sideways up to 500 mm to work close up to the crop, even at high speeds and in very weedy ground. The system uses cameras to detect crop rows and control the interface. The interface is very compact to limit overhang to just 20 cm. This reduces lifting capacity requirements and improves performance on slopes. The ROWLINK guidance interface can be fitted with pneumatic stabiliser wheels or metal with coulters, recommended when working on slopes.

High-definition camera

The camera provides precision guidance for working between crop rows. It enables the weeder to remain at a perfect distance from the crops to avoid damaging them. The camera has 2 high-definition lenses that are able to adapt to changing light conditions, including at night, with the optional LED kit. An optional row sensor can complement or replace the camera for guidance in rows of mature crops.

Section Control

Section Control by ISOBUS, or automatic, individual weeder-unit lift by GPS offers extra precision when working on pointed plots. The shape of the plot is no longer an issue for weeding. The units can raise to up to 35 cm to prevent any damage to crops.

Flexibility throughout the crop cycle

A machine that adapts to each stage

ROWLINER row-crop cultivators can be equipped with different row-protection features. Different parts such as shares, deflectors, and finger weeders make ROWLINER mechanical weeders versatile enough to adapt to the various phases in the crop's growth cycle. These machines can work right up to row closure thanks to their 70 cm high clearance.

Deflectors

The parallelogram-mounted deflectors protect young row crops. They are fitted to the weeder units and can be adjusted in height to increase or decrease the amount of soil that can pass onto the row. The deflectors prevent the shares from covering crops with soil and damaging them.

Notched discs

Notched discs protect the crop from soil spray. These discs, with notched edges, are recommended when working in surface residues or stones.

Smooth discs

Weeder units can also be fitted with small, smooth discs designed to weed between rows by cutting into the soil without disturbing young plants. These discs are recommended for the smaller, 45-50 cm, spacings, They can be retracted when the crop is more mature.

Finger weeders

Combined with the ROWLINK interface, finger weeders can work up to 95% or more of the inter-row surface. These finger weeding units also benefit from the automatic lift system for points when the ROWLINER row-crop cultivator has Section Control.
